Rizvan Khawar

Rizvan Khawar has extensive work experience in the legal field. Rizvan started their career as a Law Clerk at Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP in 1999. Rizvan then served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Judge Martin L. C. Feldman at the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana from 2003 to 2004. Following that, they worked as a Corporate Associate at Latham & Watkins from 2004 to 2007. Rizvan then joined NuVasive as a Director of Legal Affairs from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they held various roles at Provide Commerce, including Director of Legal Affairs and Senior Director of Legal Affairs. In 2015, they took on the role of Vice President, Assistant General Counsel at FTD Companies, Inc. Rizvan later joined Biosynthetic Technologies as General Counsel & VP Strategy from 2015 to 2018. Rizvan then moved to Zymergen, where they served as Director of Legal, Associate General Counsel, and Vice President of Legal from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they are working as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel at Lytx, Inc. starting from March 2022.

Rizvan Khawar obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in the period from 1996 to 1999. Later, from 2000 to 2003, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law at Tulane University.
