Eduardo Ortiz Cruz has extensive work experience in the field of orthopedic oncology surgery. Eduardo began their career as an Orthopedic Oncology Surgeon at MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid in 1996. In 2007, they became the Chief of the Musculoskeletal Sarcoma Unit at the same institution.

In 2006, Eduardo joined Hospital Universitario La Paz as the Chief of the Orthopedic Oncology Surgery Section and the Chief of the Musculoskeletal Sarcoma Unit. Eduardo held these positions until their departure.

Eduardo's most recent role was as an Oncologic Orthopedic Surgeon at Hospital Universitario La Paz, where they have been working until December 2021.

Eduardo Ortiz Cruz completed a Clinical Fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology Surgery at Harvard Medical School - Massachusetts General Hospital from 1993 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Medico y Cirujano from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.
