Tero Putkonen

Tero Putkonen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Their most recent position is at M-Files, where they are the Director of Partner Support Programs. Prior to this role, they served as the VP EMEA Onboarding and Services, Director of Service Management, and Head of Service Management for the company. Tero also has experience in the educational sector, where they were a Member and Chairman of the Board for EduEffect Finland, and a Member of the Board for BeiZ Oy and WordDive. Tero was also an Advisor for Medikiddy. Before transitioning to the education sector, Tero worked at Microsoft and Nokia, holding positions such as Director of Developer Support and Technical Consultancy and Senior Manager of Global Operations, Technical Services, and Consultancy. Tero has extensive experience in leading teams, managing vendor relationships, and driving business and sales development.

Tero Putkonen pursued their Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Telecommunications, and Industrial Economics from 1994 to 1999 at Tampere University of Technology. To further enhance their professional knowledge and skills, they obtained several additional certifications. In December 2014, they received the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from MoreSteam University. In May 2015, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Additionally, in December 2015, they obtained the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Lastly, in August 2019, they acquired another ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PeopleCert.
