Kunal Kamlani has a passion for effectuating business transformations to maximize value for all stakeholders. With more than 25 years of operating experience, he has a strong track record of delivering quantifiable results by aligning strategic direction at the board level with execution at the customer level. His operating and board experience span key industries, including financial services, global leisure & hospitality, retail, real estate, and home services.
Prior to joining M3 Partners, Kunal served as president of ESL Investments where he led the firm’s M&A, divestiture, and financing activities and worked side by side with portfolio company management teams on process reengineering initiatives. Prior to ESL Investments, Kunal served first as CFO, and then as president and COO of Prestige Cruise Holdings, the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, where he generated record revenue and EBITDA every year and completed the sale of Prestige Cruise Holdings to Norwegian Cruise Lines for $3.1 billion. Kunal also served as head of Bank of America/Merrill Lynch’s $8 billion Global Investment Solutions business, where he was responsible for developing client solutions across all asset classes, enabling financial advisors to grow their businesses. Prior to that, he was COO of Citi Smith Barney, head of Financial Planning & Analysis of Citigroup, and vice president of Corporate Development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Kunal has served on the boards of Staples, Sears Holdings Corporation, and the Cruise Line Industry Association (CLIA).
Kunal earned his MBA from Columbia University in 1999 and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Colgate University in 1994, where he graduated summa cum laude. Kunal is a native of South Florida, where he currently resides with his wife and two children.
