Thomas Scott currently serves as General Counsel at M0 since July 2025. Previously, Thomas held the position of Chief Legal Officer at Tools for Humanity from January 2021 to June 2025, where responsibilities included leading legal, policy, privacy, compliance, and trust & safety teams, while also advancing product development related to blockchain and digital identities. Prior to this role, Thomas was Lead Counsel at Cruise from January 2017 to May 2020, supporting engineering teams in the development of technology for autonomous vehicles. Earlier legal experience includes positions as Senior Counsel and Counsel at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, focusing on multi-jurisdictional investigations and white-collar criminal defense, as well as serving as a Foreign Law Clerk to Justice Edwin Cameron at the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Thomas earned a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School and a Master's in Public Affairs, with a focus on International Development, from Princeton University.
