Katie Birge

Katie Birge has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Katie most recently worked at M25 as an Associate and Head of Platform. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of Launch Indy, where they created a coworking space and entrepreneurship center to foster economic development and support entrepreneurs. Katie also managed day-to-day activities at the Union 525 campus.

Katie Birge's experience also includes working as a Marketing Strategist at Envisage Technologies LLC, where they developed marketing strategies. Katie was the Director of Bloomington Technology Partnership at Bloomington Economic Development Corporation, where they played a significant role in growing the tech sector by organizing events and promoting job opportunities. Katie also established the Bloomington Code School to provide residents with web design and development skills.

Katie Birge was a Project Specialist at Option Six, GP Strategies, where they managed project timelines and facilitated communication between subject matter experts and developers. Katie gained experience in social media and marketing as an intern at SproutBox, where they handled social media campaigns and wrote articles on the tech startup scene in Bloomington.

Earlier in their career, Katie Birge worked as a Graduate Assistant and M.A. Telecommunications student at Indiana University Bloomington, where they facilitated weekly discussion sections and guest lectured on media convergence and transmedia storytelling. Katie also served as a News Director at WGRE, DePauw University, where they assigned and copy-edited broadcast news stories and hosted a weekly news talk show.

Katie Birge's work experience started at Camp Ondessonk as a Unit Leader, leading campers in outdoor adventures and supervising staff members. Katie also coordinated special activities for a large number of campers. Katie had a brief role as a Marketing Intern at Studio STL, where they helped develop a long-term vision for a creative writing studio and organized logistics for a fundraiser trivia night.

Katie Birge completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Classical Civilization from DePauw University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Katie then pursued a Master's degree in Telecommunication from Indiana University Bloomington, attending from 2008 to 2010.
