Sara Duron

Sara Duron is a Project Engineer at MA Engineers, Inc. since February 2023, specializing in the design and analysis of HVAC systems and reviewing submittals. Previously, Sara contributed as a Capstone Project Team Member at Icarus RT, Inc., focusing on optimizing solar panel cogeneration with heat extractors. As a Student Researcher at San Diego State University, research was conducted on 3D bioinspired structures for energy harvesting through piezoelectric crystal growth. Sara also led the design and manufacturing efforts as Chief Engineer for the Human Powered Vehicle Challenge at ASME SDSU and participated as a team member in the same challenge prior. Early experience includes working as a Food Service Worker at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and as a Farmer's Market Vendor at Schaner Farms. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, completed in December 2022, after graduating from the Academy of Our Lady of Peace with a high school diploma in May 2018.
