Sidy Niang

Sidy Niang is an experienced professional with a strong background in investment and entrepreneurship. As Co-Founder of Maad since September 2019, Sidy leads growth, fundraising, and people operations. With simultaneous responsibilities at Joloff Food, also as Co-Founder and Investor since November 2018, Sidy has been instrumental in delivering over 6,000 meals per month through a dark kitchen model. Prior experience includes roles at IFC - International Finance Corporation as both Investment Associate and Investment Analyst, focusing on debt and equity investments in energy, transportation, and utilities projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. Sidy held an Investment Analyst position at Mediterrania Capital Partners, emphasizing growth for SMEs in North Africa, and worked as an M&A Analyst for BNP Paribas in the oil and gas sector. Sidy began the career in technical support and consulting roles at Millicom (Tigo) and Louis Vuitton, respectively. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering from CentraleSupélec, majoring in Energy and minoring in Strategy/Finance.
