Hassan Kalakeche

Hassan Kalakeche is an experienced executive with a robust background in educational and operational management. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Maarif Education since December 2019, Hassan oversees the operations of 16 schools in the Kingdom, focusing on asset management, IT and digital transformation, marketing, enrollment, and various services. Prior to this role, Hassan was the Chief Executive Officer at GEMS Education, where responsibilities included leading the integration of newly acquired schools in Egypt and managing operational efficiencies. Previous experience includes significant financial leadership roles at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Khidmah, AMD, Lenovo, and IBM, demonstrating expertise in merger and acquisition integration and financial management. Hassan's educational credentials include a PhD in Operations Research from Antwerp Management School and an MBA in Finance from Queen's University.
