Darian Meacham is an experienced academic in the field of philosophy, currently serving as the Department Chair and Associate Professor of Philosophy at Maastricht University since October 2016, where prior roles included Assistant Professor (tenured). Meacham's research focuses on the intersection of politics and technology, Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), synthetic biology, and phenomenology. From January 2015 to April 2019, Meacham was the Deputy Director for Responsible Research and Innovation at BrisSynBio, a UK Research Councils Funded Synthetic Biology Research Centre. Before this, Meacham held the position of Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of the West of England from September 2009 to October 2016.
