Dirk Brounen

Dirk Brounen serves as Professor of Real Estate Economics at Tilburg University and TIAS Business School since March 2011, focusing on the risk and return of international real estate investments as well as the financial economics of energy efficiency. In addition, Dirk Brounen holds leadership and advisory roles, including Chair of the Central Committee of Experts at Stichting VastgoedCert, Member of the Advisory Board for Alternative Funds at PGGM, and Member of the Supervisory Board at WSW. Dirk Brounen's previous experience includes serving on the Investment Committee for the KLM Pension Fund and as a Professor of Finance and Real Estate at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and an MSc in Economics from Maastricht University.
