Tim Smith has a strong background in the banking industry, with a focus on risk management and credit oversight. Tim started their career as a Loan Review Officer at Stillwater National Bank and Trust before moving on to roles of increasing responsibility at First United Bank and Trust and Spirit Bank. At Spirit Bank, Tim served as Risk Officer, implementing measures to restore regulatory confidence in the loan review function. Later, they became Chief Credit Officer at both SpiritBank and Mabrey Bank, where they were responsible for managing the banks' loan portfolios and improving asset quality. Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated the ability to address weaknesses in underwriting and loan documentation, as well as maintain strong relationships with regulators and external review firms.
Tim Smith completed their education from 1982 to 1986 at Bartlesville Wesleyan College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Applied Computer Information Systems. In 2015, they also obtained a certification in CRC from RMA.
