Alex Smith possesses extensive experience in clinical research, currently serving as an Early Phase Clinical Operations Manager at MAC Clinical Research since September 2020. Previously, Alex held the position of Project Manager at Medicines Evaluation Unit Ltd and Senior Study Operations Specialist at AstraZeneca, where involvement included multiple phase oncology studies with responsibilities in study setup, recruitment, and closeout. Additional roles at GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca included communication with external CROs and risk management. Alex's foundational experience in clinical research commenced at ICON plc in various capacities. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Forensic Science from the University of Central Lancashire.
