Allister Yap

Allister Yap currently serves as an Aerodynamics Subteam Member at MAC Formula Electric, contributing to the design and planning for the MacEV competition since February 2024. Concurrently, Allister has been a Teaching Assistant at McMaster University since January 2023. Previous experience includes roles at Kinectrics as a Line Asset Management Co-Op Student, where various testing and inspection tasks on overhead conductors were conducted, and positions at the International Council of Malaysian Scholars and Associates, contributing to project development as well as serving as a Junior Associate. Allister also interned at Swipey, implementing onboarding processes, and co-founded Kairu Clothing, focusing on sourcing quality fabrics. Allister is pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Automotive Engineering Technology at McMaster University, with education stemming from Sunway International School's International Baccalaureate and OSSD programs.
