Senior Communications Officer at MacArthur Foundation

Grace works with program staff to develop and execute communications strategies for the Foundation's Chicago Commitment and On Nigeria programs.

Before joining the Foundation, Grace oversaw marketing, public relations, and events at the University of Chicago’s Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation, collaborating with faculty to increase visibility for the emerging field of urban science. Prior to that Grace was Digital Director for Mayor Rahm Emanuel at the City of Chicago, where she spearheaded digital communications strategy, media tactics, and messaging; wrote and edited content that enhanced the city's reputation; and helped produce Mayor Emanuel's podcast. Grace also served as Digital Director for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and worked for the International Rescue Committee. She was a Personal Democracy Forum 2013 Google Fellow for women in civic technology.

Grace has a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and is pursuing a Masters of Science in Learning and Organizational Change at Northwestern University.
