Daniel Nelson

Project Estimator at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions

Daniel Nelson has a diverse range of work experience. Daniel started their career in 2013 as a Unit Leader at the University of San Diego. In 2015, they worked as a Grader at the same university while also serving as a Bag Room Attendant and Pro Shop Assistant at Inglewood Golf Club.

From 2016 to 2017, Daniel worked as an Inside Sales Engineer at Vertical Systems, LLC, where they were responsible for selecting equipment, putting together proposals and submittals, and managing customer orders.

In 2017, they joined Inglewood Golf Club's Greens Crew, where they stayed until 2018. During this time, Daniel gained experience in turf maintenance and golf course operations.

In 2018, Daniel transitioned to Genie – a Terex brand, where they started as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op. Daniel provided engineering support for the assembly line of Genie Scissor Lifts, with a focus on metal fabrication, welding, and powder coat systems. Daniel later became a Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for various manufacturing processes.

Currently, Daniel holds the position of Project Estimator at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions, where they started in June 2019.

Daniel Nelson attended the University of San Diego from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In March 2018, they also obtained certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) from the State of Washington Department of Licensing Engineering Program.
