Mr. Hernandez is the Executive Chairman of Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc., a global provider of security and facility support services to governments, utilities and industrial customers and previously served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1986 to 2021 and President from 1986 until 2018. Mr. Hernandez is a member of the board of directors of Chevron Corporation, where he serves as chair of the compensation committee. He is also the non-executive chairman of the board of McDonald’s Corporation and is a member of the executive committee and the governance, public policy & strategy committee.
Mr. Hernandez a member of the board of directors of Catalyst Inc., serves on board of trustees of Ronald McDonald House Charities, and is a member of the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation, the Harvard College Visiting Committee and the Harvard University Resources Committee. He earned his bachelor’s degree in government and economics from Harvard University and received his law degree from Harvard Law School.
