Leanne Hedberg

Leanne Hedberg serves as an Associate Professor and Director of the Social Innovation Institute at MacEwan University, along with holding a Canada Research Chair. With extensive experience in organizational development and strategic management, Leanne has also been a Senior Consultant at LivingHR, Inc. since 2012, focusing on creating humanized workplaces. Additional roles include Steering Committee Member for Flourish Alberta, where Leanne works on enhancing Alberta's social economy ecosystem, and previous positions at NAIT and the University of Alberta as a doctoral researcher and Director of eHUB, respectively. Leanne's expertise is complemented by leadership roles, including President at Hillview Urban Agriculture Center and various academic positions that emphasize sustainable practices. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Strategic Management and Operations from the University of Alberta, an MBA in Ethical Leadership from Viterbo University, and a B.S. in Organizational Development from Old Dominion University.
