Mark Anders has held various roles in different companies throughout their career. In 2007, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at IBM for two months. In 2009, they had a similar role at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, also for two months. In 2011, they worked as a Sailing Instructor at Encinal Yacht Club for two months. Starting in 2012, Mark began their academic journey at the University of Southern California, where they first worked as a PhD student until April 2019. After that, they became a Postdoctoral Research Associate until June 2021. Mark's most recent employment is with Machina Labs, where they initially worked as a Senior Process Development Engineer from June 2021 to March 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Process Development Engineering Manager.

Mark Anders earned their Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in German from UCLA in the years 2006 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at UCLA from 2011 to 2012. Lastly, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, completing their studies from 2012 to 2019.
