Muhammad Firmansyah Kasim has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Muhammad Firmansyah is currently the Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Machine Discovery, a position they have held since May 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant at the University of Oxford, starting in May 2019, and also held the role of Postdoctoral Research Assistant starting in July 2017. Additionally, they served as a Physics Computing Lab Demonstrator at the University of Oxford from October 2014.

Muhammad has also gained experience at other prestigious institutions, such as CERN, where they worked as a Summer Student in 2013. There, they developed a web application to display data from CSC detectors. Muhammad Firmansyah also worked as a Physics Teacher at SMAK BPK Penabur Gading Serpong from January 2013 to June 2013, and served as a Jury for Experimental Exam at the Asian Physics Olympiad in May 2013.

Further, Muhammad has research experience as a Research Assistant at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, where they focused on Dynamic Cluster-Based Wireless Sensor Network forming algorithm. Muhammad Firmansyah published a paper resulting from their research at the MJIIT-JUC Joint Symposium in 2012. Additionally, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at Institut Teknologi Bandung, assisting freshmen in their physics laboratory experiments.

Muhammad Firmansyah Kasim pursued their education in a systematic and progressive manner. Muhammad Firmansyah began their academic journey at the Institut Teknologi Bandung, where they earned their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This four-year program lasted from 2009 to 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, Kasim continued to expand their knowledge and expertise in the field of Particle Physics. Muhammad Firmansyah enrolled at the prestigious University of Oxford in 2013 and dedicated four years to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) degree. Muhammad Firmansyah'stime at Oxford allowed him to delve deeper into the intricacies of Particle Physics and further contribute to the academic community in this subject.
