Asad Hashmi

Asad Hashmi has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Asad is currently the Founder of Machinery Planet, a position they have held since 2021. In 2022, they also became a Founder Fellow at On Deck. Prior to these ventures, Asad worked at Property Finder as the Group Systems Head from 2017 to 2019, leading the implementation of NetSuite One World for the company. Before that, they were a Technical Consultant at Deal Distribution International from 2014 to 2017, where they provided technical expertise. Asad also worked as a Technical Consultant and Software Programmer at InterConnect LLC from 2013 to 2014, involved in ERP system implementation and custom log application development. Earlier in their career, they served as a Consultant Web Developer at Sowedane UK Ltd from 2011 to 2013, creating an online remittance system, and as a Project Leader and Software Developer at Sowedane IT Solutions from 2008 to 2011, developing a school management software package and working on a currency exchange website.

Asad Hashmi holds a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering obtained from the University of Southampton, where they studied from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Osmania University from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Hashmi has also obtained certifications in Hadoop Essentials from Cloudera in March 2015 and in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Core Setup and Finance from Microsoft in December 2014.
