J.D. Siegel

J.D. Siegel has extensive work experience in the legal and real estate industries. J.D. served as the General Counsel & Chief Operating Officer at Mack Real Estate Group from 2015 onwards. Prior to that, they held the position of General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Aetos Capital Real Estate, LP from 2013 to 2015. From 2010 to 2012, Siegel worked as an Assistant General Counsel at Centerbridge Partners, L.P., where they provided legal counsel and managed administrative tasks for private equity and distressed credit funds. Before their time at Centerbridge, Siegel worked as a Senior Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP from 2005 to 2010. J.D. started their career as a Senior Business Strategy Consultant at ZEFER, where they worked from 1999 to 2001, identifying and analyzing internet opportunities for various companies. Siegel also served as a Speechwriter to the CEO and worked in Investor Relations & Special Projects at Staples, Inc. from 1996 to 1999.

J.D. Siegel obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Additionally, they earned an M.B.A. degree from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Brandeis University, where they obtained a B.A. degree. Siegel also holds a certification in being admitted to the New York State Bar.
