Jonas Cuypers

Jonas Cuypers, CFA, currently serves at Mackenzie Investments as an Investment Research professional focusing on Global and Canadian Equity since October 2020, where responsibilities include managing actively traded portfolios aimed at generating attractive returns with a positive impact. In addition, Jonas heads the ESG research unit within the Sustainability Centre of Excellence, enhancing the technical expertise related to ESG factors across Mackenzie’s equity and fixed income portfolios. Prior experience includes a role as Portfolio Specialist in Fixed Income and Equities at Nordea Asset Management (April 2018 - June 2020), where Jonas specialized in various financial sectors and acted as the main contact with the investment team. Earlier positions at Nordea included Deputy Head of the RFP Team and a Portfolio Manager for Dutch Mortgages at Aegon Asset Management. Jonas holds a Master of Science in Business Engineering from KU Leuven and completed an Erasmus program at Umeå University.
