Senior Child Wellbeing Practitioner - The Orange Door at MacKillop Family Services

Nicci Suhren has significant experience in various industries, starting from 1996 when they became the owner and manager of Scissorhands Hair Design, a leading salon in Auckland. Nicci trained apprentice hairdressers and managed a team of up to 10 staff. Additionally, they were actively involved in the Auckland hairdressing association and served on the ITO committee for approximately 5 years.

In 2008, Nicci joined Chatterton Lacework as a sales/administration representative, where they built strong customer relationships and provided exceptional customer service. Nicci later became the lead salesperson for the imported product side of the company.

Nicci transitioned into a new field in 2011 when they joined Foresite Training as a bookings officer. Nicci also matched job seekers with appropriate jobs and recorded placements in Fast Track software.

In 2014, Nicci joined MatchWorks as an employment consultant and Indigenous case manager. Nicci conducted initial assessments of jobseekers, delivered case management services, and provided workshops on resumes and MYGOV. Nicci established supportive relationships with jobseekers and assisted them in attaining suitable employment opportunities.

Most recently, in 2022, Nicci began working at MacKillop Family Services as a practitioner at The Orange Door. In 2023, they were promoted to Senior Child Wellbeing Practitioner, where they continue to make a positive impact in the field of child wellbeing.
