Thambi Subra started their work experience in 2012 as a Community Guide (Casual) at AMES Australia. They then became a Cultural Advisor (Contract) at The Salvation Army from December 2012 to February 2014. In 2014, Thambi joined Broadspectrum as a Recreation Officer, eventually taking on the role of Recreation Officer (Fly-In, Fly-Out), Asylum Seeker Welfare Services.
