Jodie K. Becker Dnp

Jodie K. Becker has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. Their most recent position is Chief Ambulatory Officer at Mackinac Straits Health System, Inc, which they started in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at HCA Healthcare North Carolina Division as the Division Vice President Quality & Safety from 2019 to 2023.

Throughout their career, Becker held various leadership positions at Mission Health System, including Director of Nursing- Quality and Hospital Based Outpt. Clinics from 2012 to 2023, and Director of Cardiovascular Surgical Services from 2012 to 2017. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing nursing quality, implementing data-driven changes, and developing strategic programs.

Before joining Mission Health System, Becker worked as the Director of Acute Care and Emergency Services at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital from 2010 to 2012. Jodie K. focused on improving medical protocols and optimizing departmental supplies.

Becker's earlier experiences include being the Nurse Manager of the Intensive Care Unit at Salem Hospital from 2007 to 2010, and Nurse Manager of the ICU at Holy Cross Hospital from 2002 to 2007. At Holy Cross Hospital, they also served as a Staff RN in the ICU.

In addition, Becker has experience in education as an Adjunct Faculty-Instructor at Luna Community College, teaching Associate's Degree Nursing from 2003 to 2007.

Jodie K. began their nursing career as an RN Advocate and Psychiatric Rehabilitation RN Case Manager at the Northern Michigan Community Mental Health Assertive Community Treatment team from 1997 to 2002.

Becker's initial healthcare role was as a Staff RN in the Cardiac Care Unit at Munson Medical Center, where they also chaired the unit's Education committee and served as a charge nurse from 1989 to 1997.

Jodie K. Becker holds a Doctorate of Nurse Practice degree in Executive Leadership from Grand Canyon University, obtained between 2018 and 2020. Jodie K. also completed an MSN/MHA degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix from 2006 to 2008. In addition, they earned an ADN degree in Nursing from Northwestern Michigan College from 1987 to 1989.

Jodie K. Becker holds several certifications, including a CCRN-K certification from the AACN obtained in February 2012. Jodie K. also has a Nurse Executive Board Certification from the ANCC obtained in February 2010. Jodie K. attained a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality certification from NAHQ in 2019. Jodie K. Becker is currently pursuing a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Certification from the Healthcare Experience Foundation, to be obtained in 2023.
