Elias Maela

Elias Maela is a Mechatronics Designer II at MacLean Engineering since May 2022, specializing in the design of control systems, electrical system layouts, machine architecture, PCB design, and schematics for Trackless Mobile Machinery. As the Managing Director of Hord Inc. Studios since September 2019, Elias leads music recording, sound production, and client sessions, while managing music artists and producing audio content, including jingles and soundtracks. Previous experience includes roles as a Mechatronics Engineer at Fermel (Pty) Ltd, where software development for Battery Electric Vehicles was a focus, and as a Junior Engineer at Sedna, working on hardware and software design and testing. Elias holds a Baccalaureus Technologiae in Mechatronics, graduating Cum Laude from Tshwane University of Technology, and possesses a strong foundation in engineering, reflected in multiple roles and internships that encompass various aspects of mechanical and renewable energy systems.
