Jason O'Connell

Jason O'Connell has extensive experience in technology leadership within the banking and financial services sector, currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Macquarie Group since November 2013. In this role, Jason manages multiple teams within Digital Platforms, overseeing the implementation of Google Cloud and Kubernetes platforms, as well as leading initiatives for big data transformation and API development. Prior to this, Jason held positions at Ericsson Japan and IBM, contributing to software development and consultancy roles. Jason holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering from UNSW, graduating in 2004.
