Brandon Welch has a diverse work experience that spans various sectors. Brandon is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Mad Capital since 2022. Before that, they worked at Mad Agriculture as the Director of Capital from 2018 to 2022, where they led efforts on the Perennial Fund for midwestern farmers transitioning to regenerative organic practices. From 2017 to 2021, Brandon was the Program Director at the Colorado Carbon Fund, where they facilitated business development and managed the fund's operations. Brandon also served as an advisor for Blockchain for Sustainable Development from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, Brandon co-founded the Carbon Neutral Services Coalition in 2018, which aimed to provide comprehensive carbon neutrality solutions through a partnership between competing firms. Earlier in their career, they worked as a GC/MS Organic Volatiles Analyst at TestAmerica and as a Research Intern at Fairewinds Energy Education. Brandon also gained experience in horticulture and landscape management at UVM Horticulture Farm and worked as a Watershed Analyst and Water Analyst at UVM Rubenstein and UVM Rubenstein School, respectively.
Brandon Welch completed their education from 2012 to 2016 at the University of Vermont. Brandon earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in EcoDesign. Brandon'sfield of study was specifically centered around Environmental Science and Eco-design. In addition to their degree, Brandon obtained certification as a Section4 Certified Platform Strategist in April 2021 from Section4.
