Damien Dunstan has over 13 years of experience in the design and development industry. In 2009, they began working as a Freelancer, providing UX/UI Design, Web Development, and Video Editing services. In 2011, they took on the role of Website and Design Coordinator at Metroscreen, where they were responsible for creating web, print, video, and email marketing materials. Damien redesigned and coded the organisation's website from the ground up, streamlining user experience and making the site mobile-friendly. In 2012, they became the Director of the webseries The Grindr Guide, which has been viewed over 270,000 times. In 2014, they were contracted by the Australian Retailers Association as a Graphic and Digital Designer, where they helped launch several new national initiatives and re-designed the organisation's website and industry magazine. In 2016, they were hired by Garage Sale Trail as a Digital Designer and Producer, where they implemented custom-coded Mailchimp Automation. In 2019, they began working with Make it Cheaper Australia as a Graphic and UX Designer, where they have worked to increase conversation and engagement with its free energy comparison service. In 2021, they began working with Messy Collective as a UX/UI Designer. Finally, in 2022, they began working with Mad Paws as a Product Designer.
Damien Dunstan has a diverse educational background. In 2017, they completed a Cambridge CELTA from UTS College in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor. In 2010, they graduated with a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Film Television and Radio School in Screen Music. Between 2006 and 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong in Graphic Design and Music Composition. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained an Introduction to SEO certification from the Australian Institute of Management.
