Mark Dilley has a work experience as an Environmental Scientist at Metcalf & Eddy from June 1991 to May 1996. Mark then worked as an Environmental Scientist at Phillip Environmental (now PSC) from May 1996 to April 1998. In 1998, Mark Dilley and their wife Christine S. Dilley established MAD Scientist Associates LLC, where they served as Chief Scientist. Additionally, Mark Dilley worked as a Contract Lecturer at The Ohio State University School of Environment and Natural Resources starting from August 2012.
Mark Dilley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources with a specialization in Fisheries Management from The Ohio State University. Mark attended the university from 1986 to 1991. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from The Ohio State University from 1998 to 2003. Additionally, Mark Dilley has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including being a Qualified Data Collector - Level 3 Fish/QHEI from Ohio EPA in June 2017, a Certified Senior Ecologist from the Ecological Society of America in June 2013, a Senior Professional Wetland Scientist from the Society of Wetland Scientists - Professional Certification Program in July 1998, and a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner from the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) in May 2017.
