Cliff Neve

Cliff Neve has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Cliff served as the VP of Strategic Alliances at MAD Security, where they were responsible for providing cyber security services to clients worldwide in various sectors. Cliff also led IT Auditor/Assessor engagements with major organizations and conducted information security risk assessments for financial institutions.

In addition, Cliff served as the Director of MAD Maritime at MAD Security and acted as the Deputy Commander/Chief of Staff at Coast Guard Cyber Command, where they shaped the vision and built the organization from scratch. Cliff also initiated funding for enterprise cyber security.

Furthermore, Cliff worked at the University of New Haven as an Adjunct Professor, specializing in Cyber Risk Management. Cliff developed and taught a course on evaluating, analyzing, and managing risk within organizations.

Prior to that, they held positions at Coast Guard Acquisitions Directorate, where they directed C4ISR acquisitions for the Coast Guard modernization program, delivering complex shipboard capabilities. Cliff also worked as the Deputy Chief Information Officer/Chief Enterprise Architect/Presidential Communications Officer at the White House Communications Agency and as an Assistant Chief of Radio Systems at USCG TISCOM.

Cliff's earlier experience includes roles such as Executive Officer/Networks Division Chief at USCG ESU Seattle and Deck Watch Officer on USCGC BRAMBLE. In these roles, they oversaw personnel actions, managed budgets, and ensured the safety and navigation of Coast Guard vessels.

Cliff Neve's education history includes a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington in 1999. Cliff then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy, which they obtained in 1993. In 2010, Cliff obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Leadership from the National Defense University, as well as a Masters Certificate in Chief Information Officer. Cliff also completed a Masters Certificate in Government Strategic Leadership from the same university in 2011. In 2012, they attended the US Cyber Command for the Joint Advanced Cyber Warfare Course. Additionally, Cliff has obtained various certifications related to cybersecurity, information systems auditing, and project management.
