Samuel Hinkinson

Samuel Hinkinson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Samuel recently worked as an Interaction Designer at Made Tech since March 2023. Prior to that, they were a Technical Development Engineer at BECK Interiors from November 2021 to October 2022, and at Fit Out UK Ltd from October 2020 to November 2021. Samuel also worked as a Design Engineer at ID Concepts Ltd from July 2020 to October 2020, and at ITAB UK from May 2018 to April 2020.

Before that, they held positions such as a Junior Design Engineer at Realise Live Ltd from November 2017 to February 2018, and a Junior Design Engineer at MERU from September 2015 to August 2016. At MERU, they led various bespoke projects and assisted with the design development of the "Rockzi" assisted seating device. Samuel also gained experience as a Freelance Product Designer at Brighton Product Lab from September 2015 to July 2016, where they managed design projects and provided prototype consultancy. Prior to that, they had an unpaid internship as a Freelance Graphic Designer at I AM LDN in July 2015, where they created the company logo and designed banners and website layouts.

Samuel's early work experience includes a role as an Admin: Data Entry Clark at St Georges Healthcare NHS Trust in July 2014, where they collected and analyzed data and assisted with appointment booking for specialist training.

Samuel Hinkinson has a diverse educational background. In 2012, they enrolled at the University of Brighton, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Crafts/Craft Design, Folk Art, and Artisanry. Samuel completed this program in 2014. Following that, Samuel continued their studies at the same university, this time focusing on Industrial and Product Design. From 2014 to 2017, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Product Design with Professional Experience. Lastly, in 2022, Samuel attended BrainStation and obtained a Diploma in User Experience Design (UX Design).
