Allison Wenger has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Allison began their career as a TV News Producer at WBOY in 2003, where they produced a two-hour show and consistently exceeded ratings expectations. Allison then moved on to West Virginia Media, where they produced a morning show and coordinated with another station for weather segments. In 2006, Wenger joined NBC4 WCMH-TV as a TV News Producer, where they were responsible for editorial decisions, web content, and special projects. Allison worked there until 2012.
Wenger then transitioned into media relations and joined MediaSource in 2012 as a Media Relations Specialist. In this role, they pitched health-related stories to journalists, coordinated media interview requests, and served as a ghostwriter for guest columns. Allison moved on to Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2014 as a TV News Producer at ABC 6 & Fox 28. There, they produced the Noon newscast and created content focusing on central Ohio.
Wenger's most recent work experience is at Madison Health, where they held multiple roles. Allison started as a Physician Relations Liaison in 2018, coordinating relationships with physicians. Allison later became the Primary and Specialty Care Coordinator, and then the Specialty Care Practice Manager in 2021. In these roles, they managed clinic operations, onboarding new providers, maintained profiles, and developed plans for improvement. Currently, Wenger is the Specialty Care Director at Madison Health, leading and managing nine outpatient specialty care clinics with 14 providers. Allison is responsible for all aspects of clinic operations, onboarding providers, maintaining credentials, coordinating with alliance partners, and producing videos highlighting new providers and services. Allison also launched a brand new clinic called Tele-cog, in conjunction with OSU Wexner Medical Center, which provides virtual consultations with memory disorder specialists.
Allison Wenger obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a Broadcast specialty from Kent State University (1999-2003). Prior to that, they completed their regular/general high school/secondary diploma program at Dublin Coffman High School (1995-1999).
