Mario Garcia Sierra has worked at Madison Gas and Electric since 2012. Mario started as the Energy Equity and Innovation Manager and then moved on to become the Director - Residential and Community Services in June 2022. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2012, they worked as the Director of Programs at Centro Hispano of Dane County.
Mario Garcia Sierra has a background in agriculture and applied economics, which they studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mario also has a degree in economics from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. In addition, they pursued further education at the University of Chicago's Graham School, where they focused on translation studies in English-Spanish.
