Mary Powers

Mary Powers is an experienced laboratory professional with a strong background in toxicology and laboratory management. Currently serving as the Laboratory Manager at Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District since November 2022, Mary previously worked as a Toxicologist at the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory from March 2017 to November 2022. Prior to that role, Mary held positions as a Toxicology Laboratory Technician and Histopathology Laboratory Technician at the Indiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab from August 2012 to January 2017. Mary began their career in laboratory settings at Purdue University, where as a Teaching Assistant in Cellular Biology from 2010 to 2012, and later completed a summer internship at ExperTox, Inc. Mary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Purdue University in 2012.
