Doug Welch

Doug Welch, PharmD, currently serves as the Scientific Director of Medical Affairs - Health Systems at Madrigal Pharmaceuticals since June 2023. Prior to this role, Doug Welch had a long tenure at Merck from June 1988 to May 2022, where responsibilities included Director of Medical Affairs - Health Systems, Senior Managed Care Account Executive, Business Manager, Senior Training Coordinator, Health Education Coordinator, and Hospital Sales Representative. Earlier in the career, Doug Welch worked as a Registered Pharmacist at Walmart and as a Hospital Pharmacist at Baptist Health System from 1986 to 1988. Academic achievements include a B.S. in Pharmacy from Samford University and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Shenandoah University.
