The Maecenata Foundation is an independent Think Tank founded in 2010 and based in Munich and Berlin. It addresses issues of civil society, civic engagement, philanthropy, and foundations. The foundation directs the activities of its various programmes and a specialised library to represent carefully considered positions. With its Transnational Giving Programme, the Maecenata Foundation makes it possible to support non-profit organisations with cross-border donations. The Maecenata Foundation is heavily engaged in the development of an open society in Europe and beyond through civil society.
