Rhonda Syler is currently serving as the Jarl R. Bliss Faculty Fellow and Associate Professor at James Madison University since July 2022, focusing on AI, cybersecurity, analytics, and emerging technologies in relation to human well-being. In addition, Rhonda is a Department Head and member of Chief, a private network dedicated to advancing women into influential leadership positions. Previously, Rhonda held roles such as Co-Chair for ICIS 2025 with the Association of Information Systems, Associate Professor and Coordinator of Data and Cybersecurity Management Program at the University of Arkansas, and Clifford R. King Endowed Lecturer at Louisiana Tech University. Early in Rhonda's career, positions included information manager for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and Public Affairs Officer for the United States Department of Defense. Rhonda holds a PhD in Management/Management Information Systems from Auburn University, along with an MBA from Columbus State University, an MS in Public Relations from Kansas State University, and a BS in Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University.
