Durk Steenhuizen

Durk Steenhuizen is a seasoned aerospace engineering professional with extensive experience in aircraft structures and innovative design engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Aircraft Structures Engineer at Maeve Aerospace since August 2022, Durk also co-owns Complex Design Solutions, where educational courses related to complex product design engineering, aerospace, and wind energy are developed and presented. Prior experience includes a significant role at Ampyx Power, where Durk held various positions from Competence Manager to Lead Engineer, contributing to the development of Airborne Wind Energy Systems. Additionally, Durk has a strong academic background, having worked as a Lecturer and Researcher during a PhD program at TU Delft, after obtaining a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
