Luca Ongaro

Luca Ongaro has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Luca is currently the CTO and co-founder of Magaloop GmbH, an online platform and mobile app that connects independent retailers and FMCGs with wholesalers, brands, and service providers.

Prior to this, Luca worked as a Tech Lead and Lead Developer Consultant at ThoughtWorks Deutschland from 2016 to 2018. Luca was responsible for leading and consulting on technical development projects.

From 2012 to 2016, Luca held multiple positions at DaWanda GmbH, a DIY and homemade design goods marketplace. Luca started as a Full-Stack Developer and eventually became the Head of Data Engineering, leading the engineering team in a data-driven and engineering-driven value creation process. Luca also served as the Team Lead for Feature Development, where they coordinated the completion of various important projects, including the implementation of recommender systems and the development of the DaWanda mobile application.

In 2012, Luca worked as a Web Developer at MoneyFarm SIM, an Italian startup in the personal financial advisory business. Luca played a pivotal role in designing the user experience and developing the customer-facing part of the technology.
