Karen Bredenkamp

Karen Bredenkamp is a Principal Human Factors Engineer at Magic Leap, with experience dating back to 2005. Previously, Karen held the position of a Senior Human Factors Engineer at the same company from November 2017. Before joining Magic Leap, Karen worked as a Human Factors / Ergonomics Engineer at Ergonomics Engineering from June 2016 to October 2017, focusing on optimizing workplace safety and productivity through applied ergonomics principles. Prior to that, Karen was the Chief Engineer at Ergotech, managing the Equipment, Test and Evaluation division and conducting research in various domains including anthropometry and biomechanics. Karen's academic background includes a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University.
