Owen Runnals

Owen Runnals has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Owen'smost recent position is as Director of Engineering at Magic since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as Senior Engineering Manager at Coinbase, leading the organization that built features for USDC and building Coinbase's first issued token, cbETH. Owen also served as Software Development Manager at Amazon Retail Consumer Electronics, where they led the organization in building scalable features for all of Retail. Earlier in their career, they worked as COO/CTO at General Networks Corporation, where they oversaw all engineering, product, sales, and marketing departments that delivered custom workflow, document management, and portal solutions to clients. Owen also served as Director of Professional Services and Practice Manager at the same firm. Before that, they worked as a Full Stack Developer at Martin Worldwide, where they designed and built a web-based marketing list count/delivery system. Owen'searliest position was as a Technical Support Specialist at QuikStor, where they provided technical support for a Storage Facility Management thick client application.

Owen Runnals has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Hartwick College. Owen also has an Associate's degree in Computer Engineering from Springfield Technical Community College. In January of 2021, Owen obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services.
