Akeela Cader serves as the Skills Transition Manager and Course Designer at MAG (Mines Advisory Group) since September 2021, focusing on supporting demining staff in Sri Lanka to transition into construction-related occupations through skills identification and course development. Prior experience includes over two decades at the British Council, where Akeela held various roles including Teacher Trainer for IELTS and Corporate Trainer in Professional Communication Skills, designing customized training programs for a range of organizations. Akeela has also contributed to projects with Australian Aid, developing instructional materials and training courses for business coaching and pandemic preparedness in the hospitality sector. Akeela's educational background includes an MBA in Marketing from Dalhousie University, a Master's in TESOL with a focus on Materials Development from Leeds Beckett University, and a Bachelor's degree in Fine and Studio Arts/International Relations from Wheaton College Massachusetts.
