Fernando Vanegas

Fernando Vanegas is a highly experienced professional in explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and mine action. Currently serving as Technical Field Manager at MAG (Mines Advisory Group) since February 2019, Fernando previously held the position of Ops/Location Officer at Norwegian People's Aid from July 2015 to 2018, focusing on EOD/IEDD mine action. Fernando's extensive background includes over 19 years as a Sergeant and IEDD Technician with the National Police of Colombia, where responsibilities included investigation, training, and EOD operations. Educational qualifications include completing the IEDD Course at the UK Army School of Ammunition and earning a Professional Technician in Explosives from Escuela de Investigacion Criminal. Additionally, Fernando holds an EOD Level 3 certification from MAT KOSOVO and relevant training from Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia.
