Nicholas Brooks

Nicholas Brooks has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of technical sales and geophysics. Nicholas currently holds the position of Technical Sales Consultant at SensorEra Inc since October 2021 and at MagiQ Technologies since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Principal Consultant & Owner at Magma Geoscience, LLC from November 2017. Nicholas also worked as a Technical Sales Manager at Fracture ID from February 2018 to October 2020.

Before focusing on sales roles, Nicholas held significant positions at READ Group. Nicholas served as the Vice President of Business Development (Americas) from April 2011 to October 2017, where they were responsible for various business development activities related to seismic processing and interpretation, field operations, and sales. Nicholas also worked as a Chief Geophysicist & Business Development Manager at READ Group from March 2006 to October 2007, where they played a vital role in the development and marketing of VSP and microseismic technologies.

Nicholas began their career as a Geophysicist and Regional Manager - Latin America at CGG, where they specialized in VSP data processing and played a key role in establishing a data processing center in South America. Prior to that, they worked as a Summer Student at Lynx Information Systems in 1996, gaining experience as a technical assistant.

Overall, Nicholas Brooks has a strong background in technical sales, geophysics, and business development, with a wealth of experience in various companies and roles in the industry.

Nicholas Brooks pursued their undergraduate studies at UCL from 1993 to 1996 and obtained a B.Sc. degree in Exploration Geophysics. Following this, they continued their education at Royal Holloway, University of London, where they enrolled in a Master of Science program in Basin Evolution & Dynamics and completed their studies in 1997.
