Neal Granroth has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Neal started their career as a Field Service Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation from February 1981 to February 1983. From March 1983 to September 1987, Neal worked as a CAD/CAM Administrator at Ohmeda, where they were responsible for system administration, user training, support, and designing electronic document management utilities.

From February 1990 to April 1999, Neal served as a Computer Programmer at Dynatech NewStar, Tektronix-NewStar, and AvStar, where they designed and implemented automation solutions for broadcast news production.

Neal then worked as a Senior Programmer at Gilson from 1999 to 2000. From 2000 to 2002, they worked as a Software Engineer at Accelrys / Genetics Computer Group (GCG).

From April 2003 to February 2013, Neal worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

In 2013, they worked on a short-term project as a Software Engineer at Semba Biosciences, where they updated and enhanced the SembaView application and Octave control software.

Neal joined Sony Creative Software in April 2013 as a Senior Software Engineer, and they worked there until April 2016. From May 2016 onwards, they have been working as a Senior Software Engineer at MAGIX Software GmbH see.feel.hear.create and VEGAS Creative Software.

Neal Granroth attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 1977 to 1979, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Computer Technology. Neal later returned to the same institution from 1987 to 1989, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology (BSEE-T).
