Jiahong Shen

Jiahong Shen is a research scientist at Meta, specializing in machine learning since December 2023. Previously, Jiahong served as a quantitative researcher at Magma Capital Funds and as a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University, where notable contributions included developing a crystal graph convolutional neural network for materials discovery and maintaining a database for OQMD.org. Earlier experiences include a software engineer internship at Meta focused on Instagram's machine learning applications, research assistant roles at the University of Notre Dame and The University of Hong Kong, and a volunteer English teaching position with AIESEC. Jiahong holds a PhD and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Northwestern University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Science and Technology from Fudan University.
