Hugh Downey

Hugh Downey is an experienced professional in the automotive industry, currently serving as Vice President of Purchasing at Magna International since January 2020. Prior to this role, Hugh held various positions at Magna International from 2002 to 2019, including Director of Purchasing and Director of Portfolio Planning & Marketing. Earlier in Hugh's career, from 1995 to 2002, Hugh worked as Lead Product Engineer at Dura Automotive. Hugh Downey holds an MBA in Business Administration from Queen's University, obtained between 1999 and 2001, and a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where studies were completed between 1989 and 1995.
