Greg Heydon has extensive work experience in the manufacturing and research fields. Greg started their career at the University of Sheffield as a Post-Doctoral Researcher from September 1997 to February 2000. Greg then joined Magnequench in February 2000 as a Quality Manager, and later took on roles such as Chief Engineer, Vice President of Operations, and Managing Director (President) from 2002 to 2020. From August 2020 to October 2022, they served as the Director of Operations (MQTJ), Development and New Projects. Currently, Greg is the Managing Director of Magnequench Europe in Estonia.

Greg Heydon completed their education at multiple institutions. Greg began their academic journey at Whitby County High School, where they attended from 1984 to 1991. After that, they enrolled at The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they pursued a BSc(Hons) in Applied Physics and Instrumentation from 1991 to 1994. Following their undergraduate degree, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Magnetic Materials from 1994 to 1997. Several years later, in 2001, Greg Heydon pursued a Certificate of Postgraduate Study in Industrial Management at Sheffield Hallam University, specializing in Business Management and operations expertise, completing their studies in 2002.
